Halloween is among our favorite festivities because it kicks off one of the most enigmatic and fun seasons of the year: fall! And we have gathered some of our favorite Numen objects to celebrate it this year, from glamorous golden skulls (literally dipped in Mexican gold), to all sorts of beautiful candelabra from Italy, Morocco, Mexico and beyond.
‘Hauri’ is the name of the Huichol practice of sacred candlelit offerings to the gods. Each sphere of this piece is handcrafted from Mexican marble and inlaid with brass, with separable halves that allow for creative and innovative arrangements, like altars and that kind of thing.
This skull is made out of ceramic and pure liquid gold, quite an accurate metaphor of how fragile our life is and how death is infinite… How many of your old Halloween decorations were as deep as this little beauty?
