SALAD SERVING SET
This set of wooden serving utensils is handcarved by Nahua artisans from Pajapan, in the Veracruz region of Mexico. The community of Pajapan lies inside a protected natural reserve where sustainable forest management is administered collaboratively between the state and the locals, ensuring that the indigenous communities have access to materials.
The wood that is used in the development of Pajapan’s crafts is gathered from sources that are consistently being replenished thanks to ecologically friendly and environmentally sustainable forestry administration. The traditional carvings that emerge from the community are made from small pieces of wood or wood that comes recycled from other regions, in order to ensure that the forest reserves are not used up.
