CERAMIC AND WOOD TERRACOTTA DESK LAMP
Crafted in Mexico City, the unique Ensemble lampshade is formed from the finest high-temperature ceramic, before being fired at 1222° C. The head of the lamp is carved from solid oak and turned walnut with a natural finish. The two finishes are satin black exterior/brilliant black interior, and clay slip exterior/burnished bronze interior, each boasting its own unique character. Part of the pseudonymous Ensemble collection, these lamps are perfect for bringing character, individuality and cutting edge contemporary aesthetics to any sideboard, nightstand or workspace.
Ensemble’, meaning ‘joined’ or ‘together’ in French, is an arrangement of lamps which, in their varying sizes, forms, proportions, and materials are both playful and discursive. The size and finish of the pieces make them perfectly versatile, and able to infuse any room with a unique character. The series was created through a collaboration between Frame and the Mexican Gallery of Design, arranged by Design Week Mexico.
Frame is a multicultural studio operating between Paris and Mexico. It was founded in 2015 by Mexican designer Taina Campos and French counterpart Jérémy Godel, and they produce their pieces on both sides of the Atlantic through admirable multidisciplinary recourse to the diversity of inspirations and resources available in their immediate areas. Driven by the idea of an all-encompassing design language, the design studio’s products reflect the essence of the design inspiration, manufacturing processes that they implement and their desire for a fair and sustainable world.
