This Candelabrum seeks to recover dark and moody flooded areas of intimacy for the user, through a play of lights and shadows created by the fire of the candles.
This candelabrum is composed of five wood candlesticks, suspended by a thin brass structure and framed by Tzalam wood; again creating a dialogue between materials and forms. In addition, Tzalam wood is known as Caribbean Walnut and evokes a manifestation of Mexican crafts.
This rendered piece epitomizes contemporary Mexican design, wrought from tastefully cast brass and warm Tzalam wood. Quality materials and faultless design make this fine piece a timeless classic.
Studio Cardinal works closely with Mexican artisans, drawing upon their rich cultural knowledge and experience to create unique pieces. Moreover, it brings a taste of traditional Mexican craft to discerned households around the world.
Maria Valdespín and Gerardo Zaldivar met in 2006 and founded Studio Cardinal in 2013. They explain that the word “cardinal” talks about the essential, transcendental and vital as well as of a direction and starting point; whereas “studio” alludes to a creative workspace.
