Venezuela is in the tropical Northwest of South America, where the sprawling Amazon rainforest meets the azure waters of the Caribbean. This area boasts a wide range of unique woods, prized around the world in furniture and carvings. From the rich purple of Zapatero to the warm orange of Cartan, these unrivaled timbers form the palette from which local craftsmen practice their incredible art.
These pieces are made from hardwood which, due to molecular structure, is more susceptible to changes due to environmental humidity. It is recommended that they are not located near heat sources or exposed to direct sunlight. Furthermore, smaller pieces should be kept in an enclosed space with low humidity during colder months, to ensure the preservation of their natural qualities. Cleaning should be done with a dry cloth and, if needed, specialist wax. Oils, silicone compounds and cleaning creams should be avoided.
